We have organic kiwifruit for sale. Come and pick your own for $2.00 a kilo. We also have available 10 kilos of hand picked kiwifruit for $25.00.
June is the best month for picking.
Once picked the kiwifruit can be ripened naturally in a bowl of fruit
containing either a ripe banana or an apple. The kiwifruit can also be placed
in a paper bag with an over ripe piece of fruit.
The kiwifruit is the Hayward variety and the plants originally
came from New Zealand. The vines are 30-40 years old.
weeds and grass are kept down by our sheep and the chicken
contribute.
Our kiwifruit wines continue to sell well as does our fruit wines.
These include strawberry plum and black cherry.
We also have in stock some Premium Organic Cider (1250ml) at $12 a bottle or
$60 for a box of 6.
We have recently bottled some Pinot Noir which was made in 2007 and is now available.
We also made some strawberry wine, plum wine and raspberry wine.
These should be available in limited supply from December 2010.
